Geology
The presence of sinkholes and caves loom large in Jo Fife’s imagination, frequently speculating on the precarious and fragile ground that could open up underneath our feet. Jo Fife: “After a visit to Engelbrecht cave I became fascinated with the large underground void and the location of roads and homes built directly above the space. Do people avoid driving or walking these roads, or are they unaware of the cave system below? Are we uneasy about what lies beneath us?” Photo Credit Tim Rosenthal
